If you haven't heard of toffee vodka by now, I do have to question if you've been living under a rock. If you've tasted Kin Vodka's Toffee Vodka Liqueur before, you'll know what all the hype is about, but if not, allow me to describe to you the deliciously smooth, rich, caramel sensation. And if you've tried others, read on, because there's really no comparison.
Kin's Toffee Vodka liqueur is created in the heart of the English Lake District (at Newby Bridge to be precise) in small batches. It's inspired by the local surroundings and a passion for the great outdoors, and if you don't know what that means, you've obviously never supped it after a day's fell walking, felt the golden liquid warm you from the inside after a cold day out in The Lakes, or sipped a caramel laced hot chocolate around a campfire.
It's the most popular alcoholic drink we sell, and as such, we get asked a lot about it, and as huge fans ourselves, we have lots to say on the subject.
Here are some of the things you should know about this scrumptious local tipple:
Who makes it?
The brand of toffee vodka we sell at Love The Lakes is produced by Kin Vodka. Sure, there are other makes out there, but hand on heart, we haven't found any that can hold a candle to it, and we hear the same from our customers who come back time and time again for it.
Is it local?
Yes, very! It's made at Newby Bridge, just a few miles away from our Bowness store. Customers are often surprised to hear this because they may have tried it first at a larger event such as The Manchester Christmas Markets, attended by Kin.
How strong is Toffee Vodka?
Kin Toffee Vodka is a vodka liqueur drink at 20.3% ABV.
How do you drink Toffee Vodka?
Our favourite way to enjoy it is neat. Store the bottle in the fridge so it's nice and chilled for the perfect tipple. It's also a beautifully rich addition to a coffee, latte, hot chocolate or Baileys. Or make it a longer drink by topping with prosecco. But why stop there? There are a range of cocktails you can enjoy your Toffee Vodka in, or why not try using it in a dessert (Toffee Vodka Cheesecake anyone?!). Or, another decadent way to enjoy is to store the bottle in the freezer and pour it over ice cream! The possibilities are endless!
